The Fox ESS H1-5.0-E is one of the most popular models in the Fox ESS H1 series with 5 kW rated power. As a single-phase hybrid inverter, it combines solar power generation, battery storage and backup power in a compact 23 kg device. The 5.5 kVA maximum apparent power reliably covers the needs of most single-family homes.
Solar Technology and Efficiency in the Fox ESS H1-5.0-E
Two MPP trackers with one string each and an operating range of 80 to 550 V process up to 6.5 kWp input power. The Fox ESS H1-5.0-E achieves peak efficiency of 97.8%. The PV-to-battery charging efficiency reaches an impressive 98.5%, ensuring most generated energy reaches the storage system.
Battery and Backup Power Supply
LFP high-voltage batteries from 85 to 450 V are charged and discharged at up to 40 A. Expandable storage capacity of up to 18.2 kWh through seven batteries in series enables multi-day independence. During grid failure, the Fox ESS H1-5.0-E switches to backup mode in under 20 ms, delivering 6.0 kVA continuous power.
Installation and Operation
The Fox ESS H1-5.0-E features plug-and-play wall installation. Integrated fuses and a DC disconnect switch simplify commissioning. Monitoring via LCD display, smartphone app or web portal. WiFi and LAN are standard, 4G and GPRS optionally available.

The Fox ESS H1-5.0-E is certified to VDE-AR-N 4105, EN 50549-1, G98/G99, CEI 0-21 and EN 62109. DC reverse polarity protection, anti-islanding, AC overcurrent and overvoltage protection, and SPD Type II/III provide comprehensive safety. The operating temperature range of -25 to +60 °C allows deployment under various conditions.
