SolarEdge SE3680H-AC - The Smart Solution for Storage Retrofit
The StorEdge SE3680H-AC is an AC-coupled single-phase battery inverter specifically developed for retrofitting existing photovoltaic systems with storage functionality. With 3.68 kW rated power, it enables integration of LG Chem RESU7H batteries into existing systems.
Flexible System Integration for Existing Installations
The SolarEdge SE3680H-AC was developed for use with three-phase SolarEdge inverters and third-party inverters. The StorEdge interface establishes the connection to the battery storage. This AC coupling enables storage retrofit without interfering with existing DC wiring.
HD-Wave Technology for Maximum Efficiency
The patented HD-Wave technology provides the SE3680H-AC with an impressive maximum efficiency of 99.2 percent. The European weighted efficiency is 98.8 percent. The transformerless design and elimination of electrolytic capacitors significantly increase reliability and lifespan.
Maximum Safety Without High Voltage
A key advantage of the StorEdge SE3680H-AC is enhanced safety during installation, maintenance, and firefighting. The system operates without high voltages or currents at the battery system. The integrated residual current protection with 300/30 mA trip provides additional safety.
Intelligent Monitoring and Control
Battery status, inverter production, and self-consumption can be monitored via the SolarEdge monitoring platform. Communication is via RS485, Ethernet, and optionally WiFi, ZigBee, or cellular. Commissioning is easy via SetApp and integrated WiFi access point.
Compact and Versatile
Weighing only 7.8 kg with dimensions of 280 x 370 x 142 mm, the SE3680H-AC is extremely compact. IP65 protection rating allows indoor and outdoor installation. Natural convection provides silent operation below 25 dBA.
Important Note on System Configuration
The StorEdge AC-coupled single-phase inverter cannot be used together with power optimizers or as a standard PV inverter. It serves exclusively for battery connection to the power grid.
